Tucked into the mountains just outside Asheville, a one-of-a-kind destination is taking shape. Mystic Village, part of Earth & Sky Dwellings, brings the charm of magic to life with a setting that feels like it’s been lifted straight from the Harry Potter universe. Whether you are a devoted fan of the series or simply drawn to creative escapes, this experience promises something truly magical.

Mystic Village opened to guests in late 2024 and has quickly become one of the most talked-about themed stays in the Southeast. The village includes six fully furnished rentals, each styled like a small shop you might find in an old-world hamlet. There is a spell supply store, a cozy bookshop, a potion-themed parlor, and even a tiny tavern. While the outside of each building looks like it belongs in a fantasy novel, inside you’ll find modern amenities, thoughtful touches, and room to relax and recharge.

Guests can book individual cottages or reserve the entire village for a private gathering. Each unit sleeps up to four people and includes a bathroom, kitchenette, and a sitting area. Carefully chosen details like antique trunks, stained glass windows, and whimsical signs help create a sense of being somewhere far from the ordinary, yet it’s only a short drive from downtown Asheville.

For those seeking an even more immersive experience, Earth & Sky Dwellings also offers Wizard’s Hollow. This treehouse-inspired cabin is tucked high among the trees and includes nods to every classic magical detail: velvet drapes, house flags, spiral staircases, and owl decor. Guests can take in mountain views while staying wrapped in the comfort of a fantasy-inspired getaway.

Evenings at Mystic Village feel like stepping into a quiet mountain village that’s been enchanted. Soft lights glow through shop windows, trees sway overhead, and visitors can unwind with a book, a board game, or a warm drink in hand. It’s a peaceful and creative way to escape the routine and connect with something a little more imaginative.

I’ve lived in the Clemmons area my whole life and I’ve grown to really love this community and the people in it. I got started in the insurance industry back in 2011 and joined Blue Moon Benefits Group in 2013.
